Our destination this year was to Stubaital. We stayed in Neustift at Hotel Jagdhof and drove everyday to the ski resort. Once again a wonderful vacation.

Stephan planned our days including some torture and some wonderful runs for me.
When the weather was really bad we took a day off and drove to Munich and then flew to Dortmund to visit the Wengers. As Lufthansa does not fly to Dortmund we had to take GermanWings!! Interesting to say the least...

We also made a trip to Hall in Tirol as the cultural portion of this vacation.
After going to Istanbul with Johanna and Heiner, once again we are back in Jagdhof - Neustift - and skiing in Stubaier Gletscher. As we do not believe in travelling light, here is our car for the trip!
And once again we celebrated Stephan's birthday in the mountains.
It is a drive from Neustfit to Stubaigletcher and parking is not much fun either, but we prefer to have our wheels, rather than taking the hotel bus we drove each and every day...
The weather was perfect most of the time but we had a bad weather day hence we drove to Volders and München. Here is the town under snow.
On another perfect weather day Stephan went on a backcountry skiing with a guide and I took the car and drove to Innsbruck and did some shopping. It was a very exciting day and drive until I got a speeding ticket. I was stopped getting off the freeway, 5 km. from the hotel - boo hoo. Cost me €34.
We had a great Birthday lunch at one of the best mountain restaurants in Austria - Eisgrat / Schaufelspitz at 2900m.

On the last day after we left the hotel before we drove to Strasburg we visited Maria Waldrast. An abbey high in the mountains.

Once again we are in Stubaital and staying at Hotel Jagdhof. This year we got the biggest suite which was very comfortable - with its own Jacuzzi and sauna - to say the least!

On a couple of miserable days we did our cultural trips and went to Schwangau, Füssen, Steingaden and Shongau
Once again here we are at our favorite hotel! Jagdhof.
Skiing this year was so so... some good days and some horrible days but Schaufelspitz Restaurant is always excellent, and a refuge on miserable days!
