December 2013  -  UT

My birthday gift this year was a quick trip to Utah.  We stayed at the Sundance Resort and skied.  We also took a day off and visited the Arches National Park.

We were very impressed with Utah and its people.  It was extremely cold - during the day we had 10° Fahrenheit, but it was sunny which made it a lot more pleasant.  The smog in Salt Lake City was very dense but once we drove up to the mountains it was OK.

The young people running the resort were polite, friendly and helpful.  We did not carry skis this time and had to rent which was a complete anxiety free experience.  I had left my sun glasses at home so we purchased some cheap pair and the guys at the store taped them to my regular glasses for me with no attitude.

Here are a few pictures.
