San Juan Capistrano

Flying to Southern California to Palomar airport and being met with a rental.

The Mission that once was the jewel of all missions : San Juan Capistrano.

By the time we got there the swallows had come and gone. And we were told that they do not come to visit the way they used to.  Humans have messed up their lives too...

The mission was one of those established by Father Junipero Serra [today Saint Serra].  the Great Stone Church was demolished by the December 1812 earthquake and was not rebuilt.
