PALM SPRINGS
We had a perfect long girls' weekend with all activities planned by Pria!
We flew down, rented a car and first on our itinerary was Joshua Tree National Park. We also had our picnic provider researched and approved by our fearless leader/adorable daughter.
JOSHUA TREE NATIONAL PARK
We then drove to the park, climbed to the top of the High View Nature Loop signed the register and had our picnic before hiking back down to our car.
Our hotel, the Marriott resort, was great and we enjoyed a pool and an open air hot tub in November as well as a couple of delightful happy hours!
We had two wonderful dinners
One at Sandfish Sushi and Whiskey
and another at Mr. Lyons
We visited the Sunnylands Annenberg Center and Gardens.
We visited the sight of the Friendship Bench and tried to feel the presence of Obama - a favorite to all of us.
We walked the maze
and admired the richness of desert flora while making sure we are in touch with the rest of the world!
The next outing was to Mount San Jacinto California State Park
We finally finished the weekend with some sumptuous and decadent date shakes before flying back home to reality...
We flew in to meet the kids who were already in Palm Springs, we spent a lovely day with them and flew back.
