Pria, Anne-Marie & I, we did another "Girls' Weekend"
An amazing four day long weekend...
Day 1: Pike Place Fish Market and Seattle Underground Tour
Later in the afternoon we took a "Seattle Underground" Tour and with the help of a very colorful guide we learned the history of the city.
The only large city in Northern America named for a native chief: Seattle
Below are left to right: our guide, Chief Seattle, and the attempts to raise the city above sea level by washing down the hills.
The use of the underground varied from smugglers & working girls to tailors & traders.

We ended the day with a perfect dinner at ATOMA!
Day 2: Visiting the Needle and the Chiluly Garden
The Space Needle
Built in 1962 for the World's Fair and at 184m high it was the tallest building west of the Mississippi at the time. It was also considered ugly by some which luckily did not change much of the plans.
We were very touched and proud to see that the Chief Engineer was an Armenian! John Minasian!
We did the 360° tour of the upper deck and took pictures at every point.
We then did a "Happy Hour" at the revolving restaurant.

We finished the day with another great dinner and a fabulous sunset.

Ending the trip with a Rooftop Wine Garden wine tasting
Final act of the day: a lovely dinner at Paju
Day 4: Ballard Farmers Market & Museum of Flight
We met with Pria's friend and family for a breakfast
The Museum of Flight
The museum greeted us with an FA-13 Hornet.
Below are some impressions that do not desperately need captions:
The first presidential Air Force One was very interesting. Especially: the amount of "technology" available, and the size of the desk for the president, which definitely was not built for today's presidential girth.
Starting with The Wright Flyer & World War I, airplanes became part of military life.
The planes below were introduced during different years, starting with World War II, and were used in Korean War & Vietnam War by the US military and others.
From left to right below: Corsair, B-17, Cougar, Huey
From left to right below: Chinook, Intruder, Tomcat
... and last but not least the CIA Spy Plane [below]. We were told by the docent in the museum that even though it is labeled a U.S. Air Force plane it actually was a CIA spy plane.
Thus ended our vacation.
We took an Uber to the airport, had another Happy Hour, and boarded our plane to go back to real life.
