LINDESNES

                                 The southernmost point of Norway.

This was one of our first stops in Norway en route to Bergen.

Lindesnes light house is on the southernmost tip of mainland Norway, on the peninsula Neset.  It is also the oldest lighthouse station in Norway, first lit in 1655 and rebuilt with every technical innovation.

The sign below did not intimidate us.  Lindesnes to Nordkapp is 2518 km.  We did not drive all the way up there, but by the time we were done with our wonderful trip not only had we driven over 3000 miles but we had also flown to Nordkapp and visited its vicinity.
