VERONA
2024-08
The pièce de résistance of this trip was a day in Verona. It was highlighted with one of my favorite operas, "Aida", at the Arena di Verona.
We started our visit at Castelvecchio and its museum.

The Museum
It displays a collection of sculpture, statues, paintings, ancient weapons and other historical items. Here are a few examples.
Then we did a walk around town, Stephan complained about the heat but enjoyed it all the same... Our stroll included 2 minutes at "Juliette's balcony".
No town in Italy is complete without the recognition of Count Cavour. One of the heroes of the unification of Italy.
