The Standard of England Pub - Beaconsfield, Bucks

This is the house where Charles I took refuge 400+ years ago.  It was lovely and the weather cooperated.

At first all looked nice and normal until I saw a live cat sitting on the counter where food and drink is served.  Imagine this in

the US!!! No one seemed to mind except me...
