March 2007

We were back in Prague again as Stephan had an IETF meeting.  So while he worked I walked and walked and took about 1000 Pictures.  I did everything we had done 4 years before and more.  So here is a selection of the architecture, the statues and the spires.

Buildings around Old Town Square

The Powder Tower ( Prašná brána) is a Gothic tower in Prague, Czech Republic and one of the old city gates. It is one of the symbols of Prague, leading into the Old Town.

The Lennon Wall.  It has all kinds of depictions of John Lennon and graffiti inspired by him.  It changes all the time and layer over layer of new paint decorates it.  This is what it looked in 2007.

St. George slaying the dragon [below left] and gargoyles on St. Vitus cathedral in Prague Castle [below right].

Flying buttresses.

Nerudova Street

The spires of Our Lady before Tyn.  The view from outside the Old Town Square.

The Municipal House - a Concert Hall

And finally our nerds and their laptops in the lobby of the hotel.  This is a common sight wherever the conference may be but the hotel elevators this time gave the best view.
