PAPHOS 2015-10 & 2018-09
2015-10
The jewel of this trip - after the joy of visiting my beloved cousins - was Paphos.
Here are some visual observations.
The view of the town and the castle
To visit this archeological wonder, we walked all over the ancient town which is a very large area with remains of villas, palaces, and theatres. The mosaics are incredible and very well preserved. It is still an active archeological site.
Then we had lunch in Paphos
... and on our way back to Larnaca we made a stop at Petra tou Romiou, also known as Aphrodite's Rock.
This time our day trip did not include Sercho and Knar. We took off in the morning to Pafos and spent the whole day enjoying the archeological site and lunch with Setig.
On our way we passed a village that was settled by Armenian survivors after 1915...
At the risk of being repetitious I have posted some more pictures taken at this spectacular ancient remains. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and deserves all the accolades.
