LJUBLJANA  2018-07

This year thanks to an IETF meeting we traveled to Slovenia.  I had been here years ago when it was still part of Yugoslavia and a sad little town.  Now it is a bustling city with very friendly people, tourism, history and art .     We also visited the Postojna Caves, Predjama Castle and Lake Bled.  Here is beautiful Ljubljana.

Dragon is the symbol of the city which is evident everywhere and people are encouraged to embrace the idea.

Here is the birth of another type of a dragon!

The river Ljubljanica runs through the city and many lovely bridges span it.  Among them, The Triple Bridge and the Dragon Bridge are the most famous.

A walk to Ljubljana Castle and a ride to it was another highlight of our stay.

We took our ride up accompanied by little hands!

View of the city from the tower of the castle, including The Franciscan Church of the Annunciation and people enjoying street performers.
