Heiligen Kreuz - Santa Croce , 07/2004

While in Trentino, one of our hikes was to Schutzhaus Heiligen Kreuz as well as the sanctuary and the church. The sanctuary is believed to have been built before 1484 and the church in mid 17th century.

On ascent one passes many signs and symbols of Christianity including the 14 Stations of the Cross ....

... and once at the church, you can continue on a path that has a second set of the Stations of the Cross.

The day continued with a nice lunch at the Schutzhaus Heiligen Kreuz and more hiking in the vicinity.
