We visited the Bard's birthplacein a season where many of the sites were closed.

The Church of the Holy Trinity - The site of the baptism, marriage and burial of William Shakespeare - CLOSED

Anne Hathaway's Cottage - CLOSED

The Royal Shakespeare Theatre - CLOSED

BUT ...  we managed to visit Shakespeare's Schoolroom and Guildhall , where we also had a very informative lecture delivered by the master who claimed to be 500 years old!

... and we made sure the day included a typical English lunch with lamb at "Lambs"
