The second part of our summer vacation this year, after a week in Saas-Fee  [CH] was a second week in the French Alps, in a beautiful little town - Vaujany.

5 hours drive through the mountains and then an additional hour's drive from Grenoble, it is a little gem.  Our hotel - Hotel V de Vaujany completed the perfect getaway.

On our way we passed the dam 'Barrage de Grand'Maison'

   Here is the town of Vaujany with its 'téléphérique' [cable car], 'Mairie' [town hall], 'Cascade' [waterfall] and the lovely Hotel V de Vaujany including the view from our balcony.

And finally our rental for the trip [left], and how, rain or shine, bicyclists have the right of way on the mountains.  We were stopped several times to let them pass no matter how long it took for the last one to make the pass.
