     On our way back to Germany from Hochgurgl we took the Fernpass and we crossed it under really tough conditions.    Thanks to our 4-wheel drive Beamer we managed easily .  An hour after we were through the passroad was closed.

          The trucks had to put on chains and the crews tried hard to keep the roads open but even Austrian know-how sometimes does not work.  This is winter in the Alps!
